The London Youth Choir is an exciting new initiative to provide London’s young singers with a world class choral education and to create a flagship ensemble to represent the city of London on a world stage.

We are a brand new youth organisation, and aim to build one of the best youth choirs in the world, alongside a body of training choirs to develop choral singing and provide young singers in London with high level choral training and performance opportunities. The London Youth Choirs encompass young people from 8-21 years through 5 different choirs; London Youth Choir,  London Youth Girls’ Choir, London Youth Boys’ Choir, London Youth Training Choir,  and London Youth Chamber Choir. Our five choirs rehearse weekly on Monday evenings during term time at several venues in Pimlico, central London.

Founded by Suzi Digby OBE and Rachel Staunton, we launched in September 2012 with hundreds of auditions around London and began rehearsing in October with a diverse group of around 150 singers, representing 30 of London’s boroughs. Our vision is to inspire young people from all backgrounds to achieve the highest possible standard in choral singing, musicianship and vocal production.
